Contracting Associate

The Contracting Associate will work directly with the Manager of Reimbursement & National Accounts and the QIAGEN legal team to achieve a major company goal: to develop and improve the reimbursement of the AmniSure ROM test in the public and commercial payer sphere by affecting medical policy, creating awareness in the managed care community, and collaborating with hospitals to affect change for their patient populations.

In addition to Reimbursement, the Associate will work closely with major healthcare systems in the United States, negotiating with major decision makers and drafting & finalizing long-term contracts.

This position heavily relies on the ability to market to and communicate with top healthcare executives. The successful applicant will also have an ability to think strategically about how to make our technology a top priority for healthcare plans and harness the economic problems of today's healthcare delivery system to demonstrate the role AmniSure plays in cost-effective care.

The Associate will receive extensive and continuous training in all aspects of business. He or She will progressively assume greater responsibility within the company, including but not limited to: generating and spearheading business development and marketing strategies, participating in medical conferences, and interacting with key healthcare opinion leaders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree, coursework in public health, life sciences, mathematics, marketing, or related field preferred; JD a plus
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Outlook and Power Point.
  • Strong attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills, high energy level, dedicated work ethic
  • Ability to understand and quickly internalize unfamiliar material such as: scientific and clinical literature, medical protocols, educational presentations.
  • Outstanding verbal skills, especially the ability to establish rapport with busy healthcare executives
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and think creatively and independently under pressure
  • Customer-service orientation
  • Foreign language fluency preferred
  • Top-tier academic and professional record

Business Development Associate

The Business Development Associate will work directly with the Manager of North American Business Development to educate existing and prospective clinical facilities in the U.S. about the AmniSure test and guide them through the process of adopting this new medical technology in their practice. This position is entrusted with shaping company's image. It heavily relies on ability to communicate to clinicians nuanced scientific & medical aspects of our technology, analyze clinical needs and propose appropriate solutions. This position is a perfect fit for ambitious candidates who want to begin a career in a challenging, rewarding environment, and it also offers substantial potential for growth. The Associate will receive extensive and continuous training in all aspects of business. He or She will progressively assume greater responsibility within the company, including but not limited to: generating business development and marketing strategies, participating in medical conferences and trade shows, and interacting with key medical opinion leaders.
